Strawberry Iced Matcha

Simple layers of strawberry, milk, and LERA matcha make for a balanced, refreshing drink.

Ingredients (1 serving)

  • 3 g LERA Matcha Uji
  • 30 ml hot water (75–80°C / 170–175°F)
  • 100 g fresh strawberries (makes ~50 ml purée)
  • 150 ml cold milk (dairy or alternative)
  • Ice

Strawberry Puree

Remove the stems from the strawberries and blend until smooth. Add a touch of sugar or honey if you like, then chill.

Instructions

Whisk LERA Matcha Uji with hot water until smooth. In a glass filled with ice, add the strawberry purée and pour in the milk. Top with the matcha, letting pink and green settle in layers. Stir lightly before drinking.

Earl Grey & Pear Iced Matcha

Light, fruity, and gently earthy, this is the kind of glass you’ll want in your hand when autumn is warm but already hinting at change.

Ingredients

  • 3 g LERA Matcha Kyushu Island (its nutty flavour balances fruit and tea notes)
  • 30 ml hot water (75–80°C / 170–175°F)
  • 100 ml ice-brewed Earl Grey tea
  • 50 g pear purée (see below)
  • 1–2 tsp homemade peach jam or purée
  • Ice

Pear Puree

Peel the pears, remove the seeds, and cut into cubes. Simmer with a little water and sugar until soft, then blend to a purée. Let it cool down completely.

Instructions

Prepare ice-brewed Earl Grey. Whisk LERA Matcha Kyushu Island with hot water until smooth. In a glass with ice, add pear purée, then pour in the tea. Finish with matcha on top. Stir gently — the flavours will open slowly, sip by sip.

Instructions

Sift LERA Matcha into a tea bowl, letting its aroma rise. Add hot water and whisk in zig-zag motion until the tea is smooth, topped with a fine foam. Drink at once to capture the fresh and nutty-sweet notes of LERA Matcha Kyushu Island.
